The SAUTIPlus mobile Application (App) is finally here. Watching this platform grow over the years from just an idea to the massive integrated platform it is right now has been nothing short of exciting. It has been a truly fulfilling journey and we are not stopping.

SAUTIplus, the latest App on the block is available on Google Playstore (coming soon to ios) 3.8MB ( so there’s no excuse of ‘space’), has an Offline feature which enables you browse through already loaded pages even when you’re off the internet. It is also specially designed to help young people access accurate and reliable information about their Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights in a convenient and non-judgemental manner. The App employs a youthful language, funky colours, and themes to make it appealing to the young audience and a dependable reference point regarding SRHR issues.

The App was launched last week on Friday 17th May 2019. NBS, our media partners graciously hosted us at their offices on Media Plaza where we created the ultimate experience for young people.  Joined by over 100 guests, we launched the App through an awesome and engaging session with Hilda Bahati a renowned counselor commonly referred to as the “Love Doctor”. Her brain-tickling session answered the young people’s questions on all things Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights. Check out our social media here for highlights from this event. Here are the 4 features you must have;

  1. Safe space for young people.

I know, you must be tired of hearing organisations talk about safe spaces, because what does that even mean. When we say safe space for young people we mean, non-judgemental zone. The SAUTIplus app provides a safe space where young people can ask and have questions about their sexual and reproductive health answered.  The app seeks to help young people understand and safely exercise their Reproductive Health Rights.

2)  Interesting and informative SRHR Topics.

SAUTIplus is the New Bold, fun tackling, “taboo” and informative topics tailored for young people. I kid you not ladies, there is a post on how you can keep your Vagina healthy and happy. It features stories on; Growing up, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, girl talk, boy talk, drugs, STIs, Abstinence, menstruation, cross-generational sex, living positive, contraceptives, among several other reproductive health topics. Topics that we know will spark meaningful conversations among young people.

3)  Referrals to youth-friendly health services

A tale was told of a certain Moses who caught syphilis after being denied condoms at a health facility. SAUTIplus reduces the stigma associated with young people and sexual and reproductive focused health visits by connecting them to Youth-friendly health centers where there are stigma-free SRHR services.

4) Multimedia

How do you love to consume your information? Text, Audio, Video, Great photos? We have it all on the SAUTIPlus App. The information on it is in various forms such as 60-second educative videos, street casts, blogs, podcasts, and highlight photos.

This is just 4 of the million and one reasons why you should download the SAUTIplus App. Don’t just take my word for it, you need to experience this application for yourself. Don’t get left behind, download the App from the Google Play store now.

PS: For parents and guardians who want to understand and connect more with their adolescents and young adults,  download the App for a sneak peek into what they struggle within Reproductive health, how they speak and how to help them.
