Summary: The U.S. Mission in Uganda is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Public Health Specialist-DREAMS and PrEP – CDC

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time following receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties:

The Public Health Specialist – Determined Resilient Empowered Aids Free Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) works under the direction of the CDC Uganda Prevention Branch Chief. Job holder is a public health advisor on DREAMS and PrEP for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Uganda country office supporting the President Emergency Aids Relief (PEPFAR) Program. The job holder’s responsibilities include day-to-day program and administrative management, coordination, and collaboration with other PEPFAR agencies to ensure that project implementation related to PrEP and DREAMS/AGYW (Adolescent Girls and Young Women) programming achieves set objectives. Specific responsibilities include the implementation and expansion of activities to design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate DREAMS and PrEP, service delivery for HIV prevention, communication activities, and operational research in country.
