Sauti is a Swahili word that means sound. SAUTIplus is a unique approach that was designed by RAHU to embrace the growing and innovative technologies in social media, radio, TV, mobile phones, print and digital media to address sexual issues among young people in Uganda.

SAUTIplus therefore is a platform that is used to widely disseminate sexual reproductive health and rights information to not only in-school youth but also out of school youth.

Young people have benefited in a way that they’ve been getting first hand Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights information and advice on how to carry on with their lives with a positive healthy attitude. However, the old website wasn’t meeting what we had initially intended for it. The website wasn’t user friendly as we all know young people want to search and read about issues that directly relate with them. But also provide feedback that will benefit other young people.

A Bigger Online Audience

We revamped SAUTIplus because we wanted to target a bigger online audience with a more appealing and visual website that directly relates to everyone regardless of age. The new website has a user friendly experience where one can directly interact with us without feeling judged or even feel like they are being monitored. It gives the feeling of being in control of your health and life without having someone remind you about it.

Modern on the Surface, Deep on Technology

Sauti Plus is a trendy website designed with the young person in mind. We fashioned the design in a captivating way by paying tribute to the African Heritage through graphic patterns and prints.

The choice of bright colors is a comeback from the 70s highly resonating with the vibrant lives of the young people today.

The interface leverages the latest browser technologies to provide a rich visual experience across mobile and desktop platforms.

“With a deep understanding of Sauti Plus content needs, we’ve provided a smooth and easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS) empowering the team to provide a wide range of content types for the youth.” – Arthur Nakkaka, Design and Digital Director Addmaya
